Two Drivers Arrested After Crash on Lakes Road

A two-car crash on Lakes Road led to two drivers being arrested for DWI late last night after one of the vehicles struck a utility pole.

New York State Police, Monroe Fire Department, and Monroe EMS responded to the scene. Crews from Orange and Rockland Utilities also arrived to repair the damaged pole.

Just before the vehicle was about to be towed, the trunk of the car suddenly caught fire, prompting firefighters to extinguish the flames quickly, and no injuries were reported.
