Slippery Conditions Caused a Series of Accidents Today
By Y.M. Lowy
Multiple accidents were reported today due to slippery conditions on local roads, causing traffic disruptions and minor injuries.
A minor two-vehicle accident occurred on Satmar Drive, where icy conditions contributed to the crash.
Additionally, a truck rollover took place between Exit 129 and Exit 127, where the icy roads have proven particularly hazardous today. Emergency services worked to clear the scene, causing traffic delays.
On the opposite side of the highway, another two-car accident occurred between the same exits.
In a related incident, a Blooming Grove paramedic was involved in a collision on Route 17 while en route to assist with the prior accident.
Another crash involved a car that lost control on the NY-17 W near Exit 130, veering off the road into the woods.
Another reported accident came from Forest Road, where a car skidded off the road into a fence.
Authorities are reminding everyone to drive cautiously as icy conditions last.
