Near Collision While Kiryas Joel Fire Department Responds to Gas Odor

By Daily Monroe Staff

Last night, while the Kiryas Joel Fire Department was investigating a reported gas odor on Hamaspik Way, a vehicle appeared to lose control and nearly collided with a responding firefighter.

The firefighter, who was at the scene, noticed at the last second a vehicle speeding uncontrollably in his direction and managed to run for his life, narrowly avoiding the impact.

Thankfully, he wasn't injured and was saved at the very last second.
