Monroe Approvals Received for Major Seven Springs Road Expansion at Mountain Ridge Development
The Town of Monroe has approved plans for a major reconstruction and widening of a significant stretch of Seven Springs Mountain Road, paving the way for the continued expansion of the Mountain Ridge development while improving safety for current motorists.
The approval was granted during a recent Town Board meeting after officials reviewed engineering plans, completed the required public hearing process, and approved the developer's proposal to reconstruct approximately 1,950 feet of roadway near the Mountain Ridge development.
The project, which is being fully funded by Mountain Ridge developers, carries a cost of millions and will not require any funding from the Town of Monroe or local taxpayers.
Construction will include widening and rebuilding the roadway, straightening several dangerous curves where multiple accidents have occurred over the years, and completing extensive engineering improvements designed to make the corridor safer and more efficient for both existing residents and the hundreds of families expected to move into the new development.
