Congressman Pat Ryan visits South Blooming Grove
Congressman Pat Ryan visited South Blooming Grove on Sunday for a tour of the village’s growing residential and business developments, along with Monroe Town Supervisor Richardson, before being honored for his support of the community and its Fire Department.
Ryan and his staff visited several projects throughout the village, including the Executive Circle Business Center at Route 208 and Mountain Road, where construction is nearing completion, and developments currently being built.
The visit concluded at the local firehouse, where Ryan was welcomed by the mayor, village trustees, fire officials and community representatives.
During the reception, Ryan was recognized for helping secure $354,022 in grants for the Fire Department and $2.11 million for sidewalk construction in the village.
In appreciation of his support, village leaders passed a resolution naming Ryan an honorary chief of South Blooming Grove Fire Department 60. He was also presented with a ceremonial fire chief’s helmet.
Ryan is currently working on additional grant initiatives to support the village’s ongoing development.
