Work Set to Resume at Seven Springs Mountain Road and Mountain Road Intersection

With winter coming to a close, work is expected to resume soon at the intersection of Seven Springs Mountain Road and Mountain Road.

After several months of little to no activity during the colder season, crews returned to the site to relocate a water main. That utility work will be the first step before larger road improvements move forward.

In the spring, construction is expected to continue with plans to widen the roadway by adding an additional lane, along with new sidewalks to improve pedestrian safety.

Drivers in the area should expect construction activity to increase in the coming weeks as the project moves into its next phase.
