Weekly Weather: The Snow Storm is Here

By Yisroel R.

Following a major winter storm on Sunday expected to bring around 12 inches of snow to Monroe, Monday may see an additional inch of snow, after which extreme cold temperatures are expected to settle in for much of the week, creating dangerous and icy road conditions, with temperatures feeling below zero at times.

Monday remains wintry with some additional snow possible, bringing a high of 24° and a low of 6°, as roads stay slick from back-to-back snow events.

Tuesday turns sharply colder with a high of 19° and a low of 5°, allowing melting snow to refreeze.

Wednesday stays bitterly cold with a high of 22° and a low of 6°, as icy conditions persist on untreated surfaces.

Thursday continues the deep freeze with a high near 19° and a low around 5°, with wind chills again dipping into the minus zone.

Friday remains very cold with a high of 23° and a low of 10°, as lingering ice may still impact roads.
