Weekend Snowstorm Causes Numerous Accidents

By Mrs. I. Perl

Monroe received around 3.8 inches of snow over the weekend, which caused many local accidents as drivers struggled to navigate the slippery roads.

Some of the accidents that local emergency teams responded to include an accident on Forest Road, where two vehicles lost control in the snow and both crashed into the sidewalk. Luckily, neither of the drivers sustained any injuries.

Monroe FD, State, Police, and Monroe EMS all responded to another accident on the NY-17 near exit 130, where a van crashed into a truck and got lodged under the truck bed.

On Mountain Road and Kallisburg Road another two cars collided, which prompted a response from KJ Hatzolah and KJ FD.

With more snow predicted for later this week, Daily Monroe urges all drivers to take extra precaution while driving in slippery conditions.
