Water Main Break Leaves Village of South Blooming Grove Without Water for Hours

A water main break at the intersection of Merriewold Lane South and Virginia Avenue shut off the water supply across the Village of South Blooming Grove, leaving hundreds of residents without water for much of the day.

The break occurred during the early morning hours, and residents had no access to water through the morning and into the mid-afternoon. Despite the incident taking place on a holiday, repair crews were dispatched and worked throughout the day to restore service, preventing residents from being left without water for an additional day.
