In a shocking event, U.S. President Donald Trump announced yesterday that U.S. Special Forces carried out a mission in the capital city of Venezuela, Caracas, to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and bring him to justice in the United States.

The mission reportedly took place at Maduro’s residence in Caracas, where U.S. forces detained him before removing him from the country. President Trump stated that the United States will temporarily take charge of Venezuela until a new administration is established, describing the move as necessary to restore order and stability.

During his transfer to the United States, Maduro made a brief stop at the U.S. base in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, before continuing on a flight that landed at Stewart Air National Guard Base / Stewart International Airport, located close to Kiryas Joel. The airport serves both military and civilian use. Maduro was then transferred to New York City by helicopter.

Maduro is now being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he is expected to appear in federal court in the coming days.
