Truck Overturns on Route 208, Shutting Down Roadway

A truck overturned on Route 208 near Stonegate Drive in South Blooming Grove, forcing road closures and causing traffic disruptions.

The crash occurred when the truck rolled onto its side near the entrance to Stonegate Drive. The truck swerved to the right after a vehicle ahead slowed to make a turn into Stonegate Drive, causing the truck to lose control and overturn. 

South Blooming Grove Fire Department, Blooming Grove EMS, SBGFD Dept 60, Orange County Chaveirim, and Blooming Grove Police responded to the scene and secured the area while crews assessed the situation.

As a result of the crash, Route 208 was temporarily closed between Peddler Hill Road and Duelk Avenue, and Stonegate Drive was also shut down. Traffic was diverted while heavy-duty tow trucks worked to remove the overturned vehicle.
