Town of Monroe Appoints First-Ever Jewish Liaison
By Y.M. Lowy
The Town of Monroe has appointed its first-ever Jewish liaison.
The new liaison, Shlomo Landau, will serve as a direct point of contact for residents, helping address concerns and ensure the community’s needs are clearly communicated to town leadership. The role is designed to create a more open and responsive line between residents and the Town Supervisor’s office.
The position focuses on assisting individuals with everyday concerns, making it a practical and accessible resource for residents.
Even in its early stages, the impact is already being felt. Among the first improvements has been the addition of new street lighting on-street to increase safety for pedestrians.
Residents say they’re already feeling the difference, with many expressing appreciation for the new role and the added sense of connection it brings.
