Seven Springs Mountain Road has fully reopened after being closed for several hours overnight due to a series of incidents.
State Police were first called to Seven Springs Mountain Road last night to handle a minor accident. Shortly afterward, a second crash occurred involving a State Trooper vehicle that had responded to the initial scene. The trooper suffered injuries in that crash, prompting a large emergency response.
Kiryas Joel Hatzalah, Monroe Fire Department, Monroe EMS, Chaveirim, Kiryas Joel Fire Department, Blooming Grove Police, Woodbury Police, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office all responded. The injured trooper was treated at the scene as authorities shut down the roadway to allow for emergency operations and a full investigation.
The closure stretched from Route 208 to Seven Springs Road, causing significant disruption for drivers in the area. After several hours of investigation and cleanup, officials confirmed that the roadway had been cleared, all emergency units left the scene, and normal traffic flow had resumed.
