Road Work Scheduled To Begin On Several Monroe Roads

Drivers should expect delays as highway crews start road work on several local streets.

The Town of Monroe Highway Department says crews will begin oil and chipping operations on Round Lake Park Road, Maple Avenue, Pawtuxet Avenue, Montauk Avenue, Island View Avenue, Tephanic Avenue, Giles Place, Round Lake Avenue, Dara Court, and Allison Drive.

Residents are asked not to park on these roads while the work is taking place so crews can complete the project without delays.

The roads are expected to remain open, but drivers should use caution and expect slower traffic in the area. 

Signs will be posted to alert drivers about the road work and changing road conditions.
