Rare Northern Lights Captured at Bear Mountain Park

Klal Media photographers Chaim Salinsky and Zev Klein traveled last night to Bear Mountain State Park to capture the rare appearance of the Northern Lights.

Although the aurora wasn’t as bright or colorful to the human eye as the dramatic images often seen online, their cameras, able to capture far more detail and color in low light, immediately picked up stunning shades and patterns almost never visible this close to home. These are sights our area rarely experiences, usually only seen in reports from far-off regions.

Their photos speak for themselves, offering yet another reminder of the breathtaking beauty in Hashem’s world, operating in ways far beyond our understanding.
