Police Chase Ends in Monroe After Suspects Crash

A police chase that began in Washingtonville ended in Monroe when the driver lost control and slammed into a snowbank at the corner of North Main Street and Forest Avenue Thursday night.

The two suspects jumped out of the crashed vehicle and tried to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended and taken into custody. During a search of the car, officers recovered cash along with illegal substances.

New York State Police and Blooming Grove Police were involved in the chase. Woodbury, Monroe, and Chester Police Departments responded after, bringing the situation under control without any reported injuries.
