The Satmar Rebbe Shlita davened Shacharis and Hallel in the newly expanded Mivtzar Hakollelim building. A joyous Kvi’as Mezuzah followed Shacharis, with the Rebbe affixing the mezuzah, and then the Rebbe joined the yungeleit in making a l’chaim for the expansion.

The new wing made it possible to allow a total of over 1,100 yungeleit to learn in the Kollel. With the dramatic growth of Kiryas Yoel bringing hundreds of new yungeleit every year, the reality is that the new floor, which opened barely a year ago, was quickly filled, requiring adjustments to the layout and the addition of folding tables throughout the entire hall to accommodate new scholars on that floor, the new expansion was extremely necessary to provide space for everyone.
