Overnight Scooter Fire On Chevron Road

By Y.M. Lowy

An overnight fire broke out at 22 Chevron Road, drawing a fast response from firefighters.

Kiryas Joel Firefighters arrived within minutes to find flames on the exterior of the multifamily building. The fire was quickly extinguished before it could spread inside, sparing sleeping residents from danger. Everyone inside was safely evacuated, many unaware of the fire until after it was under control, and KJ Firefighters saved their lives.

The blaze was contained to the siding and several air-conditioning units, with no injuries reported. Orange County Fire Investigation Team later determined the fire started from an electric scooter parked at the front of the building.
