Orange County Stages Major Emergency Response Drill
By Y.M. Lowy
Orange County held its largest emergency preparedness drill in years, simulating a full-scale crisis along the Hudson River. The exercise tested coordination among over 100 county employees and multiple partner agencies.
Participants included the New York State Police, Red Cross, West Point, Stewart Airport, NYS Bridge Authority, and local hospitals. The event was designed to feel as real as possible, testing how well departments and agencies work together during a crisis.
