Orange County Sheriff's Special Operations Group Competes in Elite SWAT Challenge
Members of the Orange County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Group recently participated in the Long Island SWAT Training Challenge, an invitation-only event that brings together some of New York's top tactical teams for advanced training and competition.
Held in Nassau County, the two-day event featured a series of high-intensity scenarios designed to test tactical skills, teamwork, endurance, and marksmanship. Participants took part in close-quarters battle exercises, sniper competitions, gas-mask shooting drills, hostage-rescue scenarios, and physically demanding endurance events.
The challenge provided an opportunity for tactical teams from across the state to train alongside one another while refining critical skills used in high-risk situations.
