Orange County Rescinds State of Emergency as Road Conditions Improve
By Y.M. Lowy
The State of Emergency in Orange County has been officially rescinded effective at 1:00 p.m.
County Executive Steven Neuhaus said road conditions have improved significantly following days of cleanup work by municipal and county public works crews after recent winter weather.
Residents are still being urged to use caution when traveling and to avoid unnecessary road trips while crews continue addressing remaining storm-related hazards.
Despite the lifting of the emergency declaration, several county government buildings remain closed for the day, including the Orange County Government Center, County Clerk’s office, DMV, local courts, and the Orange County Courthouse. All county offices are expected to reopen tomorrow.
