Orange County Police and Emergency Teams Train to Keep the Community Informed and Safe
By Y.M. Lowy
Orange County emergency responders and police officers gathered yesterday for an advanced training focused on media and public communication. The full-day session was hosted by the Orange County Police Services Division in partnership with the Police Chiefs’ Association of Orange County.
Led by Julie Parker Communications, the training gave participants hands-on experience with crisis messaging, real-time decision-making, and mock press conferences. The goal was to prepare officers and emergency personnel to communicate quickly and accurately during critical incidents.
Attendees came from across the county, including local police departments, school districts, hospitals, and divisions of emergency services, fire, and EMS.
Orange County officials emphasized that strong and timely communication is essential for protecting residents and keeping the public informed during emergencies.
