NY State Police Press Release on Seven Springs Mountain Road Accident

Update: December 16, 2025, at 1:15 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a marked police vehicle with its emergency lights activated was parked facing eastbound on Seven Springs Mountain Road while a trooper investigated an unrelated collision. A 2007 Honda, traveling westbound, swerved to avoid another vehicle, lost control, and collided head-on with the police vehicle.

The trooper was released from the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.

Original Press Release December 15, 2025, at 10:28 p.m.

On December 15, 2025, at approximately 8:43 p.m., a marked troop vehicle was involved in a head-on motor vehicle collision with a Honda while stationary in the area of 277 Seven Springs Mountain Road in the Town of Monroe.

The trooper was inside the vehicle at the time of the collision and was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The operator of the Honda reported no injuries.

The incident remains under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
