Multiple Fire Departments Respond to Structure Fire on Menayas Court

Several fire departments responded to reports of a structure fire at 11 Menayas Court after a call came in for smoke inside an apartment.

Fire crews from Washingtonville, Salisbury Mills, South Blooming Grove, Monroe, Woodbury, Chester, Vails Gate, and Kiryas Joel arrived on scene and initially found smoke inside the residence, with no visible flames and no smoke showing from the outside of the building.

As firefighters began stretching hose lines and checking the apartment, fire became visible in a back room of the residence. Crews quickly worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further.

Blooming Grove Police and Blooming Grove EMS also responded to assist at the scene.
