By Mrs. I. Perl
On September 23 police responded to a multiple car accident on Route 6 in Woodbury, caused by a drunk driver who crossed into the opposite lane and struck three oncoming vehicles.
Multiple people were injured in the crash, and an 11-year-old who was a passenger in the drunk driver’s car was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
The driver pleaded guilty last week to vehicular manslaughter and is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
