Local Fire Bell Gets Relocated

Local residents near the lake and the Stop and Shop, where the fire bells were located up until recently, filed numerous complaints about the noise caused by the fire bell. Some homes that were located right next to it were constantly disturbed by the extremely loud alarm, which was especially bothersome at night when children were already asleep. 

In response, local fire officials agreed to cut down from using two bells to just one, and to relocate it to Fire Station 1. The new bell has now been installed at the fire station and will be in service while the other ones will be silenced.
