Lane Closures on Route 6/202 Near Bear Mountain Bridge This Week
By Daily Monroe Staff
Motorists traveling along U.S. Route 6/202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) in the Town of Cortlandt should expect alternating lane closures this week as roadwork continues. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that lane closures will take place between Roa Hook Road and Bear Mountain Parkway from Monday, August 18, through Friday, August 22, nightly from 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.
The closures are part of a roadway striping project aimed at improving safety and traffic flow. Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise caution around highway workers.
