Kiryas Yoel Celebrates the Expansion of Its Eruv

By Y.M. Lowy

This Shabbos, the community of Kiryas Yoel received an announcement that has long been awaited.

The area will now benefit from a newly expanded Eruv, significantly enhancing the current system. The Eruv will now cover nearly 8 square miles, doubling the area previously served, offering residents a larger and more cohesive Eruv than ever before.

The expanded Eruv, now connected to the central Kiryas Yoel Eruv, will span across key neighborhoods under the supervision of the Satmar Beis Hora’ah. This major development integrates areas that previously did not have an Eruv, marking a historic shift in Kiryas Yoel’s Eruv map.

The project, which has been in the works for several years, involved countless hours of planning, fundraising, and physical labor to ensure its success.
