Kevias Mezuzah at New Chaveirim Headquarters

Chaveirim of Kiryas Joel is entering its 27th year of dedicated service to the community with a major milestone, the opening of a new headquarters designed to handle the organization’s rapidly growing operations.

The new location at 60 Acres Road was built to give Chaveirim the space needed to manage its expanding daily operations, including dedicated dispatch rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, areas for members between shifts, and a central operating base.

The need becomes especially important during the upcoming winter months, when Chaveirim responds to thousands of calls each month, ranging from routine incidents such as vehicles stuck in snow, dead batteries and other roadside emergencies, to more serious situations including flooding, major road obstructions, storm-related emergencies, and even more serious incidents requiring a large and coordinated response.

Many Chaveirim members also took part in the work themselves. With hands-on skills naturally playing a major role in Chaveirim’s daily work, members contributed their own time and expertise toward building parts of the new state-of-the-art headquarters.

On Thursday night, Chaveirim leaders, dispatchers, and members gathered together for a special maamad Chanukas Habayis to celebrate the completion of the new headquarters and the beginning of a new chapter for the organization.

The celebration continued Motzei Shabbos with a maamad Kevias Mezuzah attended by the Rebbe shlita, the dayan shlita, rabbonim and askanim. During the maamad, the Rebbe shlita was koveah mezuzah at the new headquarters.
