Jefferson Neighborhood Launches Campaign For New Eiruv

By Mrs. I. Perl

Following the completion of the new eiruv that was constructed in Winchester, the nearby Jefferson neighborhood has now started building their own eiruv as well.

The vaad h’eiruv is working to construct a new eiruv of the highest standard. They have already gotten approval from O&R to connect their own string to surrounding electric poles.

They are now launching a campaign to raise the necessary funds to construct and maintain a kosher eiruv and are calling on the local residents to support the cause. The rabbanim of the neighborhood’s shuls delivered passionate speeches this past weekend to their kehillah to encourage them to donate so the eiruv should be able to be constructed as quickly as possible.
