Hatzolah of Kiryas Yoel Issues Urgent Request to Community

On Wednesday afternoon, a representative of Hatzolah of Kiryas Yoel disseminated an urgent message regarding the dangers of electric scooters.
In an urgent message, Reb Yitzchok Shloime Polachek of KJ Hatzolah explained that especially in recent months, he and his colleagues have seen an uptick in injuries related to electric scooters which carry their riders at high speeds through the streets and sidewalks of the village.
He cited a recent incident in which a nine-year-old child fell of his electric scooter and sustained a brain injury--despite wearing a helmet! He required complex brain surgery, and will, be'ezras Hashem, be okay. But this accident illustrates the great danger posed by the scooters to young and old.
Rabbi Polachek concluded by urging people to refrain from using electric scooters since they are simply too dangerous.
