Governor Hochul Urges New Yorkers to Prepare for Several Days of Extreme Heat
By Y.M. Lowy
Governor Kathy Hochul today warned that New York State will face several days of high temperatures through Wednesday. Feels-like temperatures in the mid to upper 90s are expected, with humidity levels rising on Tuesday and Wednesday, making it feel even hotter.
Along with the heat, rain is forecast statewide from Tuesday into Wednesday.
Governor Hochul emphasized the dangers of extreme heat, calling it the most dangerous weather event New Yorkers face. She urged everyone to take proper precautions to stay safe.
“As extreme temperatures once again sweep across our state, I’m closely monitoring our forecasts and working alongside partners in government to ensure New Yorkers are protected,” she said.
