Gas Leak Caused by Digging Near Gas Line

A recent incident in Monroe happened when a worker accidentally hit a gas pipe while digging to put in a pole for a porch. The Kiryas Joel Fire Department and Orange & Rockland responded quickly to fix the gas leak.

This is a reminder that you should always contact O&R before digging. It’s important to check where gas lines and other utilities are to keep everyone safe.
