Garbage Truck Crash Sends Vehicle Into Building on Route 17M

Monroe FD, Monroe EMS, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Tuxedo Police, and New York State Police responded after a garbage truck struck a vehicle on State Route 17M, triggering a chain reaction that sent the car into a parked vehicle before it crashed directly into a nearby building.

The impact caused damage to the structure, with visible destruction to the exterior where the vehicle struck. 

Crews remained on scene to secure the area while the crashed vehicle was later removed and towed from the location.
