Farmer’s Market Comes To Monroe

New York State’s farmer’s market program brings fresh, delicious produce from local farms directly to consumers and gives New Yorkers a chance to support local farmers while buying the best produce on the market. Not only that; the Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program provides monthly checks for eligible residents to buy farmer’s market produce and take advantage of its health benefits. 

Until now, the nearest farmer’s market in Orange County was a bit of a drive from Monroe, which made it difficult for Kiryas Yoel residents to get there. But that has now changed! After discussions with Monroe askanim, the farmers have decided to bring the market right to Kirya’s Yoel’s doorstep to give residents the opportunity to shop at the market. 

The farmer’s market will be located at 12 Eahal Court every Sunday from 10:30AM-4PM, and all residents are invited to come buy produce right off the trees.
