Emergency Services Hosts Successful Vehicle Rescue Training for EMT Students
Orange County Emergency Services recently held another successful hands-on vehicle extrication training session for EMT course students, continuing its commitment to high-quality emergency medical education.
The training provided students with real-world experience in responding to motor vehicle accidents, allowing them to practice critical rescue and patient care skills in a controlled environment.
Officials expressed appreciation to the many partners who made the exercise possible. Chet’s Garage supplied the training vehicles, while the Goshen, Middletown, and Slate Hill Fire Departments provided extrication tools and firefighters. Additional support came from Goshen, Town of Newburgh, Warwick, and Pine Island EMS, which furnished ambulances, medical equipment, and experienced personnel.
The collaborative effort highlights the strong partnership between local fire departments and EMS agencies, all working together to ensure the next generation of emergency responders is well prepared.
County officials also recognized the dedication of EMS instructors, whose professionalism and commitment help ensure that every student receives a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience—preparing them to confidently serve their communities in emergency situations.
