Construction Finally Begins on Mountain Road and Route 208 Intersection

Construction has officially started at the Mountain Road and Route 208 intersection. Tractors were seen arriving at the site, marking the beginning of the long-awaited improvements. Crews are now working to straighten the side of the road to create space for an additional lane and shoulder, part of a project designed to improve traffic flow and safety. 

The officials of the Village of South Bloomingrove worked tirelessly to approve this project. As previously reported, the project includes pouring concrete for the new lane and shoulder, with O&R set to move the utility poles today. These upgrades are expected to address traffic and congestion in the area.

With construction now underway, the intersection is set for significant improvements that will make travel through the area safer and more efficient for all drivers
