Clovewood Development Receives Approval From DEC
By Mrs. I. Perl
A new development in South Blooming Grove has received approval to continue construction after the developers were fined and the project was put on hold.
The new development, named Clovewood, is a massive housing project that will include 600 brand new units for local families. The project was put on hold by the Department of Environmental Conservation due to environmental and water concerns.
After much back and forth, the DEC has agreed to allow the project to continue on the condition that the developers will provide water for the entire complex, and will have a plan for any water problems that arise in the surrounding community due to the construction.
