Chaveirim Search for Lost Jewelry Before Yom Tov

By Y.M. Lowy

On Chol Hamoed Friday morning, a call came in to Chaveirim of Orange County. A valuable piece of jewelry had gone missing at a camp near the Pennsylvania border, nearly an hour from Kiryas Yoel. With Yom Tov just hours away, panic was setting in.

What followed was no ordinary search. The team rolled up their sleeves, emptied an entire garbage compactor, and began digging through it piece by piece. After hours of sifting, the lost item was found intact, just in time.

Just before Yom Tov, volunteers gave their time and energy to help someone in need, turning a moment of panic into one of relief.
