The Blooming Grove Police Department conducted two traffic safety checkpoints on Friday, one on Route 17M and another on Route 94, as part of an effort to promote seat belt and vehicle safety.
Officers stopped vehicles at the checkpoints and focused on seat belt compliance and other vehicle safety measures. The operation was aimed at encouraging motorists to follow traffic laws and reduce preventable injuries on local roads by following safety precautions.
Police departments across New York regularly conduct checkpoints as part of broader traffic safety initiatives focused on driver awareness and compliance with state vehicle laws.
