BDE: Reb Shia Heshil Drezner, z"l

YS GOLD
We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Yehoshua Heschel Drezdner, a longtime resident of Kiryas Yoel. He was 78 years of age.
He was born to his father, Reb Moshe Hakohen Drezdner, a Holocaust survivor who was the shochet in Nirbater before the war. Reb Shia Heschel was born in Germany after the war, and was raised in Antwerp. The Satmar Rov stayed at his home in 1952 for two weeks, and Shia Heschel remembered this time well.
He traveled to America to learn in Satmar. He became very close to the Satmar Rov, and there are many stories of vignettes that occured between the two during those years.
He settled in Kiryas Yoel after his wedding, and he established a beautiful Torah family. He was known for his ehrlichkeit and yiras shomayim, and always made people smile.
The levaya will take place today 12:30pm in Kiryas Yoel, and kevurah will be on the Beis Hachaim in Kiryas Yoel.
Yehi zichro baruch.
