Bakertown Road Construction Paused; Road Open in Both Directions Until After Purim
By Daily Monroe Staff
Construction on Bakertown Road between Ratzfert and Meron has been temporarily paused, and the roadway is now open to traffic in both directions until after Purim.
The project, which began earlier this month, includes the installation of a new underground drainage system designed to improve water runoff in the area. The work is also intended to prepare the roadway for a future widening project that is expected to add an additional lane near the business center.
Under the original plan, Bakertown Road was set to operate as a one-way street from Ratzfert toward Meron for several weeks while crews completed the drainage installation.
Drivers in the area should be aware that traffic pattern changes are expected once construction resumes after Purim. Motorists are advised to follow posted signs and allow for additional travel time during the work period.
