An armed suspect, who triggered a widespread lockdown of local schools, was captured by heavily armed search units in the woods along Clove Road.

During the arrest, there was a confrontation in which the suspect was killed by the State Police.

The suspect's presence had raised significant concerns in the area, leading to a swift and coordinated law enforcement response and placing multiple schools on lockdown, as reported here.

The search lasted around 1 hour, and armed units were seen all around the Kiryas Yoel and Woodbury area.

The school's lockdown has been lifted, and State Police confirmed there is no longer any danger to the public.
