A Look Inside Shechinas V’Yoel Moshe's Unique Drainage System
By Mrs. I. Perl
As reported multiple times on Daily Monroe in recent months, the new Shechinas V’Yoel Moshe developments are currently in full swing.
One unique aspect of the development is that its built in a location where heavy rain often gathers and is at risk of flooding if there isn’t a proper drainage system. Usually in such cases a man-made lake is constructed for the rain to gather in until it’s absorbed in the ground, Shechinas V’Yoel Moshe doesn’t have the space for a lake on the property as the need for more housing is so desperate.
Therefore, a different solution was found, and Daily Monroe was able to obtain photos of the installation process. Construction teams are seen installing tunnel-like structures under the ground where the water will have the space to safely flow and sit until it gets absorbed underground. This will mitigate the issue and prevent flooding or other water damage.
In the photos, you can see the drainage work for Project #3 in Shechinas Veyoel Moshe, while the second project is in its moving-in phase.
