Car Fire Ends With Dramatic Foot Pursuit

Last night, the Woodbury Police and Fire Department responded to a call of a car that was on fire on State Rt 32. 

When the police arrived and scanned the car’s license plate, they realized that the driver had an open warrant for his arrest. Before they could act on that information though, the driver fled the scene on foot towards the wooded area on the highway.

The State Police was called to the scene to assist in the foot pursuit, which went through the woods on State Rt 17. After a brief chase the suspect was found on a highway ramp and arrested. EMS was on scene as well to perform a medical examination.
