BDE: Rav Yehuda Leibish Engel, zt”l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Rav Yehuda Leibish Engel zt"l. He was 78 years of age. 

The niftar was the son of Reb Sender Engel, a famed and ardent Satmar chossid, and he was born immediately in the aftermath of the war. 

The niftar learned in Satmar mosdos throughout his youth, and he would dedicate his entire life to Torah and avodas Hashem. 

He was one of the first families to move out to Kiryas Yoel when it was established by the Divrei Yoel. 

He was well-known in the Satmar chassidus for his incredible breadth of Torah knowledge. He could be asked anywhere in Shas and Poskim… He was simply a master of Torah, and this is all he did from morning till night. 

Rav Yehuda Leibish leaves behind a beautiful Torah family. 

The levaya will take place at 11:00 this morning at Khal Divrei Yoel on Quickway Road.
